This is the one kit on the list that is not a starting point. It is a set assembled around a specific technique — the AromaTouch hand-and-back application doTERRA teaches — and it makes sense to someone learning that technique and to almost nobody else.

What it is

A group of oils used in a defined sequence, sold together because the sequence uses them in a particular order. The set differs by market and is revised from time to time; the shop page for your country is the accurate list of what is currently in it.

The technique itself is taught by doTERRA through its own courses. This site does not teach it and does not certify anyone in it.

Who it is for

• Someone taking the training — the kit exists to go with it.
• Someone who already applies oils to another person regularly and wants the specific set rather than assembling it bottle by bottle.
• Not a first purchase. If this is your first kit, Family Essentials or a single bottle and a carrier oil will teach you more for less.

What applying oils to another person requires

• Dilution, every time. Someone else’s skin is not yours, and you do not know what they react to. The table is four lines long.
• A patch test before the first session, on the inner forearm, a day ahead.
• Asking about pregnancy, medication and allergies before you start, and stopping if the answer is uncertain.
• Checking the citrus. If any oil in the sequence is photosensitising, the skin it touched stays out of direct sun for twelve hours — the nine that carry the warning.

What it is not

It is not a therapy, it is not a treatment, and applying it to someone does not address a condition. Nothing on this site claims that an essential oil diagnoses, prevents, treats or cures anything, and that does not change because the oils are applied in a sequence by a second person.

In several European countries, offering hands-on treatment to the public is a regulated activity. If you intend to do this for other people rather than for your household, check what your own country requires before you charge anyone.
