Spearmint

Spearmint is the mild mint — noticeably softer than Peppermint, and the better choice when Peppermint would overwhelm a dish. It carries food-flavouring permission in Europe, one drop a day, and it belongs in salads, drinks, desserts, dressings and marinades.

A milder option for when Peppermint essential oil is a bit too strong.
