Cypress is distilled from the branches of the tall evergreen, and it smells exactly as clean as that suggests — fresh, woody, faintly resinous. It is a spa and massage-room regular. In Europe it is a topical and aromatic oil, often used on feet and legs before or after a long walk or run.
