The practical argument for this set is not what is in it. It is that the dilution decision has already been made — and dilution is where nearly everything involving children and essential oils goes wrong.

Why pre-diluted matters more than the blend

An adult who owns a bottle of concentrated oil and a child in the house has to get two things right every time: which oil, and how much carrier. The second is the one people misjudge, usually upward. A roll-on that arrives already diluted removes that step, and it removes it at the moment it matters — when someone is in a hurry.

The children’s blends are supplied in roll-on bottles in a carrier, ready to use on skin. The exact set and the blends in it differ by market and are revised from time to time, so the shop page for your country is the accurate list.

The rules that still apply

• Halve the adult dilution for anything you mix yourself. Pre-diluted products have already done this; your own blends have not.
• Nothing high in 1,8-cineole or menthol on or near the face of a baby or toddler — that means eucalyptus and peppermint among others, and it is about breathing, not about strength of smell.
• Diffuse briefly, in a ventilated room, and not in a closed nursery overnight.
• Keep the bottles out of reach. Essential oil bottles are not childproof by design, and citrus oils in particular smell like something a child would drink.
• Patch test on the inner forearm and wait a day before a new product goes anywhere else.

What this page will not tell you

That any of it calms a child, helps them sleep, or does anything to a symptom. Those are medical claims, they are not permitted here, and where a child is concerned the person to ask is a paediatrician. What these products are is a pleasant, correctly diluted way to put a familiar smell into a bedtime routine. That is the whole of it.

If a child has a health problem, it needs a doctor, not an oil. Nothing on this site changes that.
